CELEBRATION OF DESIGN

JJS-IJ Design Awards 2024 will see the greatest talent in the industry get into the ring with extraordinary pieces of jewellery, the most refined form of art and luxury. 

Whether you have tried earlier or you area first time entrant in this competition, whether you are an established name or a new brand, JJS-IJ Design Awards 2024 is your chance to get your design expertise noticed.… so here we are again all set to honour the breathtaking creations that challenge the conformist standards. How Can IJ Awards Add Value to You?

The awards will be endorsed extensively across the country, through numerous media to amplify the partaking as well as voting by retailers. The electronic and print media is sure to give the awards an extensive coverage, just like previous years. 

• Pan-India endorsement of these awards in numerous media channels to amplify the participation. 
• A panel of experts from the field of architecture, fashion to evaluate the retail Category Designs through a secure online voting platform. 
Top 3/5 designs with the maximum votes will qualify for the second round of voting by our panel of experts. 
• The award winning designs will feature in Special Awards Supplement in January 2025; they will also be featured across all social media platforms. 
• Winners will be awarded at the Gala Award Ceremony on December 20, 2024. 


PAN INDIA PROMOTIONAL MULTIPLE WAYS OF VOTING

The awards will be promoted extensively to maximize the participation as well as voting by Jury Panel. This will ensure transparent and fair judging of entries, and bring a lot of publicity to winners          

To simplify the voting process, jury will be allowed to choose from a variety of voting options like computers, iPads, smart phones and voting forms.

ENTRY TYPES

PRODUCT CATEGORIES - These are only for Jewellery Manufacturers to participate in.

RETAIL CATEGORIES - 
These are only for Jewellery retailers to participate in.

GIA EMERGING DESIGNER OF THE YEAR - These are only for Jewellery design students to participate in.

Please read out list of category requirements in the Official Rules before entering your piece to ensure that it is eligible.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (PRODUCT Categories & RETAIL Categories)

• Complete one entry form for each piece entered for each category in which you enter it. Make certain all fields are complete and accurate before submitting.

• All entries must be accompanied by photograph(s) and payment in full.

PHOTO SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Submit photos of finished jewellery only. All photos and video must be submitted on CD along with your entry form. We require TIF/JPEG files, 300 dpi for reproduction at 8x10 inches MINIMUM. No prototypes or CAD drawings. Photos and video must be in black and white background.
2. Please include a color print for color reproduction and to ensure we use the correct image.
3. Each photo / video must contain only one piece of Jewellery: the piece entered. Do not include lines or collections.
4. You can submit up to 4 different photos of the piece you're entering (we suggest highlighting your piece from various angles). Indicate your number one photo choice; the other three photos along with the video will only be visible to jury when they click on your photo to enlarge.
5. The photographs and video you supply will be used in all Jewellers' Choice online and print products.
6. Photographs and video must be in Black/White Background only.
We suggest you have professional photographs and videos taken of your piece, and proof all copy before submission.
We cannot change your copy after receipt.

ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION (STUDENT'S Category)

1. The contest is open to all jewellery design students in India who are pursuing a diploma, degree, or certificate in jewellery design in 2024.
2. Candidates must be 18 years or older as of August 1st, 2024.
3. Candidates can submit only one hand-rendered design and CAD-rendering file.
4. Entries can be submitted from August 1st until October 5th, 2024.

DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS (STUDENT'S Category)

1. Design must be original.
2. Design must be actual size.

Hand-drawn design: 

  • Rendered on A4 vellum and mounted on black cardboard.(Extra decoration exempt.) 

  • Ratio 1:1

  • Size: A4 (210 mm × 297 mm)

CAD design: 

  • Ratio 1:1 Size: 2480 × 3508 pixels (file size up to 5 MB);

  • Resolution: 300 dpi 

  • Format: PNG/JPG/JPEG 


3. Design must be rendered on a clean white background.
4. Do not write anything on the image.
5. Please fill the submission template for the correct format to follow
6. Please refrain from writing your name, the date, or your signature on the design.

PARTICIPATION CATEGORIES & SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICES

You may enter maximum 4 entries in per category; however, a separate entry form, photo and fee must be submitted for each piece and category. Submit photos of finished Jewellery only. Semi-mounts must be shown with center stone. All products submitted must be commercially available. No prototypes of CAD drawings will be accepted. Price categories are based on suggested retail.
